The power bank supports up to 165W combined output and comes with a built-in braided USB Type-C cable. Xiaomi has also added a colour digital display that can show useful charging information directly on the device.

Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 165W India Launch on September 8

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Power Bank 20000 165W will launch in India on September 8. A dedicated microsite has also gone live on the Xiaomi India website ahead of the official launch.

The company is calling it its fastest power bank yet in India. Alongside the 20,000mAh model, Xiaomi is also preparing to introduce two new magnetic power banks in the country during the September 8 launch.

The exact Indian price and sale details of the Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 165W have not been announced yet. Xiaomi is expected to reveal these details during the launch.

20,000mAh Battery for Phones and Laptops

As its name suggests, the upcoming Xiaomi power bank packs a large 20,000mAh battery. The higher capacity makes it suitable for users who regularly need to charge multiple devices while travelling or working away from a power outlet.

More importantly, Xiaomi is positioning the new model for more than just smartphone charging. Its high output allows it to provide power to compatible USB-C laptops as well as smartphones, tablets, earbuds and other supported devices.

Xiaomi claims the power bank can charge a compatible laptop to more than 50% in around 30 minutes under its stated testing conditions.

Up to 165W Combined Fast Charging

The biggest highlight of the Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 165W is its high charging output. It supports up to 165W combined wired output when charging two compatible devices.

The power bank can provide up to 120W + 45W while charging two devices simultaneously. This means users could connect a compatible laptop and smartphone at the same time without carrying separate power banks for both devices.

However, the actual charging speed will depend on the connected device and the charging standards it supports.

Built-in Braided USB-C Cable

Xiaomi has included a built-in braided USB Type-C cable with the new power bank. This should make it more convenient for users who do not want to carry a separate USB-C charging cable every time they travel.

A built-in cable can be particularly useful for laptop and smartphone users who frequently need emergency charging while travelling. The braided design should also provide additional durability compared with a basic cable.

Users can still charge more than one device at the same time, making the power bank suitable for carrying multiple gadgets.

Colour Display Shows Charging Information

Unlike many basic power banks that only use a few LED lights to indicate remaining battery capacity, the Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 165W comes with a colour digital display.

The screen can show the remaining battery percentage along with charging status and power output. It can also display information related to charging and discharging time.

This makes it easier to check how much battery remains and understand the current charging status without relying only on basic indicator lights.

Supports Multiple Fast-Charging Protocols

Xiaomi has added support for several widely used charging standards to improve compatibility with different devices.

The power bank supports USB Power Delivery 3.0 with PPS, along with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.5, Quick Charge 3.0 and Quick Charge 2.0. This should allow it to work with a wide range of compatible smartphones, tablets and laptops.

It also supports adaptive power adjustment, which helps provide appropriate charging power depending on the connected device.

12-Layer Safety Protection

Safety is important for a high-capacity power bank, especially when it can provide up to 165W of output. Xiaomi says the upcoming model comes with 12 layers of safety protection.

The power bank includes temperature management along with charging and discharging controls designed to improve stability during use.

Its rated energy is listed at 76Wh. This keeps the power bank below the commonly used 100Wh threshold for portable batteries carried in cabin baggage, although travellers should always check the latest airline and airport rules before flying with any power bank.

Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 165W Price Yet to Be Announced

Xiaomi has not revealed the Indian price of the Power Bank 20000 165W yet. The company is expected to announce its price and complete availability details during the September 8 launch.

The new model will sit above Xiaomi’s existing lower-output power banks and is mainly aimed at users who need faster charging for more demanding devices, including compatible laptops.

With a 20,000mAh capacity, up to 165W combined output, 120W + 45W dual-device charging, a built-in USB-C cable and colour display, the Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 165W could be an interesting option for users who regularly carry several devices. Its final value, however, will depend on the Indian price Xiaomi announces on September 8.
