Whenever Xiaomi releases a new HyperOS version, the first thing most users want to know is whether their phone will get it. HyperOS 4 is now starting to roll out, and Xiaomi has shared a timeline for many Xiaomi and Redmi devices.
The first batch is already getting the update in China. More phones will get it in October, November and December, while a few other Xiaomi devices will have to wait until January 2027.
There is one important thing to know before checking the list. This timeline is for China. Xiaomi hasn’t shared the complete stable rollout schedule for India and other global markets yet.
These Phones Are Getting HyperOS 4 First
Xiaomi has started the rollout with its newer phones. So if you have an older Xiaomi or Redmi device, you may have to wait a little longer.
The first group includes:
- Xiaomi 17 Ultra
- Xiaomi 17 Ultra Satellite Edition
- Xiaomi 17 Pro Max
- Xiaomi 17 Pro
- Xiaomi 17
- Xiaomi Mix Flip 2
- Redmi K90 Pro Max
- Redmi K90 Pro
- Redmi K90
- Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro
- Xiaomi Pad 8
These are part of the first HyperOS 4 rollout in China. The update may still take some time to appear on every device because Xiaomi sends OTA updates in batches.

More Xiaomi and Redmi Phones Will Get It in October
The list gets bigger in October. Xiaomi will bring HyperOS 4 to more flagship phones along with additional Redmi K and Redmi Turbo models. More Xiaomi tablets and some other devices are also part of this phase.
So don’t worry if your phone isn’t in the first group. Xiaomi isn’t limiting HyperOS 4 to its newest phones.
Older Phones Will Have to Wait a Little Longer
November and December are more important if you use an older Xiaomi or Redmi phone. Xiaomi plans to bring HyperOS 4 to the Xiaomi 15 series and more Redmi phones in November.
Some Redmi Note models are also part of the later rollout. The Xiaomi 13 series and several older Redmi Note phones will have to wait until December.
After that, the rollout continues into January 2027 for some Xiaomi wearables, speakers and smart displays.

What About Xiaomi Phones in India?
If your phone is an Indian model, the dates above don’t mean you will get HyperOS 4 at the same time. Xiaomi has shared this stable rollout schedule for China. The good news is that the global rollout has also started moving forward. Xiaomi has opened the HyperOS 4 global beta for selected devices.
Phones such as the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17T, Xiaomi 17T Pro, Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra are among the devices included in the global beta rollout. Xiaomi still needs to announce when the stable update will reach each model in India.
What Changes With HyperOS 4?
HyperOS 4 isn’t only about changing how the phone looks. Xiaomi has worked on performance, animations and AI features as well. The company has made changes to HyperCore, which handles different parts of the system in the background. In simple words, Xiaomi wants apps and animations to feel smoother while using the phone.
There are some visual changes too. HyperOS 4 introduces Xiaomi’s new Soft Light Glass design in different parts of the interface. Xiaomi has also upgraded its Super XiaoAi assistant with the company’s MiMo AI model. It can handle more tasks and work across different Xiaomi devices, although some AI features may remain limited to China.
How to Check If HyperOS 4 Has Arrived
You can check directly from your phone instead of downloading update files from random websites. Open Settings, go to About phone and tap the HyperOS version. Your phone will check whether a new update is available.
If nothing appears, it doesn’t necessarily mean your phone isn’t getting HyperOS 4. Xiaomi releases updates in batches, and your device may simply be waiting for its turn.
For users in India, it is better to wait for Xiaomi’s global roadmap before following the China dates. The global beta is already underway, so the stable India schedule should give us a much clearer picture once Xiaomi announces it.
