Vivo launched the X500 series in China earlier this week, and now the company is getting ready to take its new flagship phones outside the country. The Vivo X500 series global launch will take place on October 27, starting with the European market.
Sales in Europe are expected to begin on November 5. Vivo hasn’t announced an India launch date yet, but earlier reports have pointed to a possible release around late October or early November. So, Indian buyers may not have to wait too long after the global launch.
The X500 series includes three phones in China — Vivo X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max. However, Vivo hasn’t confirmed whether all three models will be available in every global market.
Vivo X500 Series Global Launch on October 27
Vivo has created a dedicated European page for the X500 series. The launch event is scheduled for October 27 at 4 PM CET, while buyers can already register to receive information about the new phones and launch offers. Open sales are expected to begin on November 5.
This means there won’t be a long gap between the announcement and availability in Europe. However, the exact lineup remains unclear. Vivo sells three X500 models in China, but smartphone companies sometimes bring fewer variants to global markets. We should know the final list during the October 27 event.

Global Vivo X500 Models May Get Smaller Batteries
One of the biggest things to watch during the global launch will be battery capacity. The Chinese versions come with some very large batteries. The standard Vivo X500 packs a 7,500mAh battery. Meanwhile, the X500 Pro gets a 6,510mAh battery, while the X500 Pro Max goes up to 8,000mAh.
However, European energy database listings point to different capacities for the global models. The listings suggest around 5,300mAh for the X500, 6,500mAh for the X500 Pro and 6,800mAh for the X500 Pro Max. That would be a noticeable reduction on the standard and Pro Max models. Still, Vivo hasn’t officially confirmed these global battery specifications. Therefore, it is better to wait for the October 27 event before treating the numbers as final.
Dimensity 9600 Series Powers the Phones
The processor also changes depending on which X500 model you choose. Vivo uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9600M inside the standard X500. The X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max move to the more powerful Dimensity 9600 Pro.
MediaTek’s new flagship processor uses a 2nm manufacturing process and is designed for high-end Android phones. Vivo has paired these chips with OriginOS 7. The X500 series launched with the new software in China, although some features could differ depending on the country.
Vivo X500 Pro Max Gets a 200MP Periscope Camera
Cameras remain one of the main reasons Vivo is pushing the X500 series as its flagship lineup. The top-end X500 Pro Max comes with a 50MP Sony LYTIA L910 main camera and a 200MP ZEISS APO periscope telephoto camera. The telephoto camera offers 3.7x optical zoom. Vivo also offers an optional telephoto extender that can take the focal length much further for distant subjects.
Video features include up to 4K 240fps slow-motion recording and 10-bit Log video on the Pro Max. These features are clearly aimed at people who use their phone for more than normal photos and short social media videos. The other X500 models also focus heavily on cameras, although the exact hardware changes between the three phones.

What About the Vivo X500 Series India Launch?
For Indian buyers, the main question is when the phones will arrive here. Vivo hasn’t officially announced an India launch date yet.
Earlier reports suggested a late October or early November timeline. If that information turns out to be correct, the Indian launch could happen close to the European release. However, there is no official confirmation from Vivo India at the moment.
It is also unclear which models will come to India. Vivo could launch the X500 and X500 Pro first, or it could bring the Pro Max as well. We will have to wait for the company’s announcement before knowing the final lineup.
What to Expect From the October 27 Launch
The China launch has already given us a good idea of what the X500 series offers. However, the global event still has a few important questions to answer.
Vivo needs to confirm which models will be available outside China, their battery capacities, RAM and storage options, colours and prices. We should also learn whether all OriginOS 7 and camera features will remain the same on global models.
For now, October 27 is the date to watch. European sales are expected to start on November 5, while the Vivo X500 series India launch remains unconfirmed. If Vivo follows the reported timeline, more details about the Indian release could also arrive around the global event.
