If you are someone who doesn’t like charging your phone again and again, OPPO has launched a new K-series phone with a much bigger battery than we usually see. The new OPPO K14 Plus packs an 8,000mAh battery, while the phone still weighs around 207g.
But the battery isn’t the only thing OPPO is focusing on. You also get a 1.5K AMOLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 7360 Max processor and a 50MP main camera with OIS. The phone starts at ₹29,999 in India, and its first sale begins on October 8.
OPPO K14 Plus Price in India
The OPPO K14 Plus comes in three variants. The 6GB + 128GB model costs ₹29,999, while the 8GB + 128GB version is priced at ₹32,999. If you want 256GB storage, the 8GB + 256GB variant costs ₹35,999.
During the first sale, buyers can get a ₹4,000 instant discount with eligible bank cards. This brings the effective prices down to ₹25,999, ₹28,999 and ₹31,999 respectively. The phone comes in Solar Orange and Star White colours.
| Variant | Price | With Launch Bank Offer |
|---|---|---|
| 6GB + 128GB | ₹29,999 | ₹25,999 |
| 8GB + 128GB | ₹32,999 | ₹28,999 |
| 8GB + 256GB | ₹35,999 | ₹31,999 |
8,000mAh Battery Is the Main Attraction
Most phones around this price now come with large batteries, but 8,000mAh still stands out. OPPO has paired it with 45W SUPERVOOC charging. You also get 10W reverse wired charging, so the phone can charge another supported device through a cable.
OPPO claims up to 2.95 days of mixed use under its own testing conditions. It also says the battery should retain at least 80 percent of its original capacity after 1,800 charging cycles. These are company claims, though, so actual battery life will depend on how you use the phone. You can check OPPO’s product page for the testing notes.
144Hz AMOLED Display With 1.5K Resolution
The OPPO K14 Plus has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 2772 × 1272 resolution. It can switch between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz depending on what you are doing. The screen can also reach up to 3,600 nits of local peak brightness.
So you aren’t getting a big battery with a basic display. The combination of a 1.5K resolution and high refresh rate should be useful for scrolling and supported games, although running at higher brightness and refresh rates can also use more battery.

Dimensity 7360 Max Handles the Performance
Inside, OPPO has used the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max processor. It is a 4nm chip with a clock speed of up to 2.5GHz. The phone comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, while OPPO claims an AnTuTu score of more than one million on the 8GB + 256GB model.
There is also a 5,000mm² vapour chamber and a large graphite layer to manage heat. The K14 Plus runs ColorOS 16 and gets features such as O+ Connect, AI LinkBoost 4.0 and AI Call Guard.
50MP Camera Gets OIS and 4K Recording
At the back, you get a 50MP main camera with autofocus and OIS. It is joined by a 2MP depth camera, so there is no ultrawide or dedicated telephoto camera here. The main camera can record up to 4K video.
For selfies and video calls, OPPO has used a 16MP Sony IMX480 camera. There are also software features such as Turbo RAW and an underwater photography mode.
IP69K Rating and Armour Body
OPPO has also focused on durability with the K14 Plus. The phone carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, covering different types of dust and water exposure. It also uses what OPPO calls its 360-degree Armour Body.
You still shouldn’t treat the phone as completely waterproof, but these ratings give it more protection than a basic splash-resistant phone. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.
OPPO K14 Plus Sale Starts October 8
The OPPO K14 Plus will go on sale in India from October 8 through Flipkart and the OPPO India e-store. The first-day offer includes a ₹4,000 instant discount with eligible bank cards, along with up to six months of no-cost EMI.
At its regular ₹29,999 starting price, the 8,000mAh battery is clearly what separates the K14 Plus from many phones around it. However, buyers should also notice the 45W charging and the lack of an ultrawide camera. During the first sale, the ₹25,999 effective starting price changes the comparison quite a bit.
