Oppo has quietly made the A7 Pro official in China by listing the phone on its local website. The device will go on sale from September 11 and arrives as a more compact alternative to the A7 Pro Max, which launched earlier with a 10,000mAh battery.
The A7 Pro focuses heavily on battery life and durability while keeping a relatively slim profile. It packs an 8,000mAh cell, a 120Hz OLED display, and high-level water and dust resistance in a body that measures just 8.8mm thick and weighs around 205 grams.
Price and Availability in China
Oppo is offering the A7 Pro in two memory configurations. The 6GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at 2,199 Yuan (approximately $330), while the 8GB RAM + 256GB version costs 2,499 Yuan (approximately $370).
Three colour options are available: Riding the Waves, Every Step Blossoms, and Desert Brown. Pre-orders are already live in China ahead of the September 11 sale date.
There is still no official word on a global or India launch. However, a global model number (CPH2931) has already received BIS certification in India, along with approvals in other markets. This has led to speculation that the phone could eventually arrive in India under a different name, possibly within the F-series.
Display and Design
The Oppo A7 Pro features a 6.57-inch flat OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2372 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, 10-bit colour, and peak brightness of up to 1,400 nits.
Despite the large 8,000mAh battery, Oppo has managed to keep the phone relatively manageable in size and weight. The 8.8mm thickness and 205g weight make it more pocket-friendly than many high-capacity battery phones.
The rear houses a horizontal pill-shaped camera module that contains the 50MP main sensor, LED flash, and an infrared blaster.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the A7 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max chipset. It is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Storage expansion via microSD card is also supported.

Oppo has included a 4,300mm² vapour chamber cooling system to help manage temperatures during prolonged use. The phone runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 and includes several AI-based security tools, such as scam call warnings and face-swap detection.
Battery and Charging
Battery life is clearly the standout feature. The 8,000mAh cell supports 45W wired fast charging. Oppo claims the battery is designed to retain at least 80 percent of its original capacity after 2,000 charge cycles under laboratory conditions.
This kind of capacity should comfortably deliver multi-day usage for most users, especially those who primarily use their phone for messaging, social media, and video streaming.

Camera and Durability
The rear camera setup is led by a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. An 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
Durability is another strong point. The Oppo A7 Pro carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, offering solid protection against dust, water immersion, and high-pressure water jets.

Will It Come to India?
While Oppo has not confirmed an India launch for the A7 Pro, the presence of BIS certification for the global model number keeps the possibility open. If it does arrive, it would likely be positioned as a battery-focused mid-range option and could carry a different series name.
For now, the Oppo A7 Pro stands out in China as a practical phone that prioritises endurance, a smooth OLED display, and strong durability without pushing into higher price territory.
