We already know a few things about the OnePlus 16 from official teasers and recent certifications. Now the phone has appeared on Geekbench as well, giving us another look at the hardware OnePlus is testing before launch.
The OnePlus 16 has been spotted with 16GB RAM and Android 17. The benchmark listing also gives us details about the processor, while OnePlus has already confirmed a system-wide 165Hz display for the phone.
OnePlus 16 Appears on Geekbench
The Geekbench listing shows a OnePlus device believed to be the upcoming OnePlus 16. The tested version has 16GB RAM and runs Android 17.
This doesn’t mean 16GB will be the only RAM option. OnePlus normally sells its flagship phones in multiple RAM and storage configurations, so we could see other variants when the phone becomes official.
The Android 17 part isn’t surprising either. OnePlus has already confirmed that the Chinese OnePlus 16 will come with Android 17-based ColorOS 17.
What Does the Geekbench Listing Show?

The listing also gives us a look at the CPU configuration of the chipset inside the phone. Reports have linked it to Qualcomm’s next flagship Snapdragon processor.
Geekbench scores can give us an early idea of performance, but I wouldn’t use them to decide how fast the final phone will be. Pre-launch devices can run unfinished software, and OnePlus can make further changes before the retail version goes on sale.

The 16GB RAM and Android 17 come from the Geekbench listing, while the 165Hz display has already been teased by OnePlus. The battery and camera details are still based on leaks.
165Hz Display Is Already Confirmed
OnePlus has already started teasing the display before the phone’s full launch. The OnePlus 16 will support a system-wide 165Hz refresh rate instead of keeping the highest refresh rate limited to only a few games.
This should allow more parts of the interface and supported apps to use the higher refresh rate. We will still need to see how often the phone actually runs at 165Hz and how OnePlus manages battery consumption while doing it.
3C Listing Pointed to 100W Charging
The OnePlus 16 has also appeared through China’s 3C certification. The listing pointed to support for up to 100W wired charging.
That number may look a little unusual because the Chinese OnePlus 15 supports 120W charging. But there is another part of the story here. Leaks suggest OnePlus could increase the battery capacity quite a lot this time.
A 9,000mAh Battery Is Rumoured
Recent leaks have pointed to a huge 9,000mAh battery for the OnePlus 16. If that information is correct, battery capacity would be one of the biggest changes over the previous generation.
The phone is also rumoured to support 50W wireless charging. Neither the 9,000mAh battery nor the wireless charging specification has been confirmed by OnePlus yet, so these numbers can still change before launch.
200MP Main Camera Could Also Be Coming
Camera hardware could get a change as well. Leaks suggest a 200MP main camera along with 50MP ultrawide and 50MP periscope cameras.
There could also be a 50MP camera on the front. But just like the battery, OnePlus hasn’t officially confirmed this camera setup yet.
When Will the OnePlus 16 Launch?
OnePlus has started sharing official teasers in China, but the complete phone hasn’t been announced yet. We should get more details about the processor, battery, cameras and launch date as the company continues its teaser campaign.
For now, the Geekbench appearance gives us two more useful details: OnePlus is testing the phone with 16GB RAM and Android 17. Add that to the already confirmed 165Hz display and the 100W charging seen through 3C, and we are slowly getting a clearer idea of what the OnePlus 16 will offer.
The 9,000mAh battery and 200MP camera sound more interesting, but those are still leaks and are better treated that way until OnePlus confirms them.
