Nothing and Samsung have reportedly increased the prices of several smartphones in India. The new prices came into effect on September 2 and affect phones across entry-level and mid-range segments.
Nothing has increased prices for the Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro and Phone (4b), while Samsung has reportedly revised prices for the Galaxy A17, Galaxy A27, Galaxy F17 and Galaxy A07 5G. Some models have received relatively small increases, while others have become significantly more expensive.
Nothing Phone (4a) Gets a Price Increase
The Nothing Phone (4a) has become more expensive across its available configurations. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model has increased from ₹42,999 to ₹44,999, resulting in a ₹2,000 price hike.
Meanwhile, the 8GB + 256GB version now costs ₹49,999 instead of ₹46,999. The higher 12GB + 256GB configuration has received a smaller increase and is now priced at ₹50,999, compared with its previous price of ₹49,999.
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro Now Starts at ₹54,999
The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has received a larger price increase. Its base 8GB + 128GB model previously cost ₹49,999 but is now reportedly priced at ₹54,999, making it ₹5,000 more expensive.
The 8GB + 256GB version has also become costlier. Its price has increased from ₹54,999 to ₹57,999. Therefore, buyers considering the Phone (4a) Pro will now have to spend more regardless of the configuration they choose.

Nothing Phone (4b) Price Increased by ₹5,000
Nothing’s more affordable Phone (4b) has also been affected by the latest price revision. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model previously cost ₹34,999.
Following the reported increase, the same model is now priced at ₹39,999. This represents a ₹5,000 hike and brings the Phone (4b) much closer to the ₹40,000 price mark.

Samsung Galaxy A17 Sees the Biggest Increase
Samsung has reportedly increased prices across several Galaxy smartphones as well. Among them, the Galaxy A17 with a bundled travel adapter has received the biggest reported increase.
The Galaxy A17 6GB + 128GB model with the adapter has gone from ₹19,499 to ₹29,999. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 128GB model has reportedly increased from ₹20,999 to ₹32,999.
The largest change affects the 8GB + 256GB version. Its reported price has jumped from ₹23,999 to ₹38,499, which is an increase of ₹14,500.
Other Samsung Galaxy Phones Also Become More Expensive
The Galaxy A17 is not the only Samsung phone affected by the latest revision. According to the report, the Galaxy A27 has received a price increase of up to ₹5,000.
The Samsung Galaxy F17 has reportedly become ₹3,500 more expensive. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A07 5G has received a smaller increase ranging between ₹1,000 and ₹2,000 depending on the configuration.
The Galaxy A17 without a travel adapter has also reportedly received a ₹3,500 price increase. Therefore, Samsung’s latest revision affects phones across different price ranges rather than a single model.

Rising Memory Costs Could Be Behind the Price Hikes
The report connects these price revisions with rising DRAM and NAND memory costs. Memory components are important parts of smartphones, and higher component costs can eventually increase the final retail price of devices.
Smartphone prices have already been revised by several brands in India during 2026. Nothing itself was previously reported to be preparing price increases because of higher memory, chipset and other component costs.
