IFA 2026 is preparing to bring several new consumer technology products to Berlin, with the event officially taking place from September 4 to September 8. However, companies have already started revealing some of their major products before the show opens to the public.
Early IFA 2026 announcements include TP-Link’s first Wi-Fi 8 routers, a new 4K projector from JMGO and LG’s updated AI-powered smart home platform. More smartphones, laptops, TVs, appliances and smart home products are expected as the event continues.
TP-Link Introduces Its First Wi-Fi 8 Routers
TP-Link has introduced the Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra at IFA 2026. These are the company’s first networking products designed around the upcoming Wi-Fi 8 standard, also known as IEEE 802.11bn.
The Archer 8 Ultra is a tri-band router with 18 internal antennas and supports wireless speeds of up to 19Gbps. It also offers wired connectivity at speeds of up to 10Gbps. Instead of focusing only on higher speeds, Wi-Fi 8 is expected to improve reliability and performance when several devices are connected at the same time.
Meanwhile, the Deco 8 Ultra is a Wi-Fi 8 mesh system with wireless speeds of up to 22Gbps and wired speeds of up to 10Gbps. TP-Link says a three-unit setup can cover up to 9,800 square feet and support more than 200 connected devices.
JMGO Iris Ultra Max Brings 4K 120Hz Projection
JMGO has also introduced the Iris Ultra Max projector for markets outside China. The new all-in-one Google TV projector supports 4K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for movies, sports and gaming.
The projector uses a triple-laser light source and can produce up to 6,500 ISO lumens of brightness. JMGO has also added a new dual-iris system that adjusts the light passing through different parts of the projector.
According to the company, this system allows the Iris Ultra Max to offer a native contrast ratio of 10,000:1. The combination of high brightness, 4K resolution and 120Hz support makes it one of the major display products revealed around IFA 2026 so far.
LG Introduces ThinQ Claw AI Assistant
LG is expanding its AI-powered smart home platform with a new conversational assistant called ThinQ Claw. The feature will be demonstrated at IFA 2026 as part of LG’s updated AI Home ecosystem.
ThinQ Claw can understand user requests and use information from connected devices to complete different tasks. It works with LG appliances as well as supported third-party smart home products.
LG has also added text-based interaction, allowing users to communicate with their smart home through conversations instead of controlling every device separately. The system builds on LG’s smart home technology and its Homey platform.
LG Brings Its 2026 AI TV Lineup to IFA
LG is also showcasing its latest AI-powered televisions at IFA 2026. The lineup uses the company’s Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3 to improve picture quality and provide more personalized content recommendations.
The televisions can recognize individual users and recommend content, applications and settings based on their preferences. LG is also focusing on security through its LG Shield platform, which is designed to protect user information and connected TV features.
The company’s IFA lineup includes its latest OLED and AI-powered television technologies as it continues to add more personalized features to its smart TV platform.
Smart Home and AI Will Be Major Parts of IFA 2026
Smart home technology is expected to remain one of the biggest areas at IFA this year. Companies are preparing to showcase new washing machines, robot vacuums, security products and connected appliances.
AI will also be a major part of many new products, but companies are increasingly focusing on practical features instead of simply adding AI branding. More devices are expected to process AI tasks locally, which can improve speed and reduce the amount of personal information sent to cloud servers.
IFA 2026 will also have a larger focus on robotics. The IFA Next area is expected to include around 300 exhibitors, with humanoid robots, smart glasses, AI wearables and other new technologies among the main attractions.
