Apple has launched the AirPods 5 in India with several upgrades to sound quality, noise cancellation and battery life. The new earbuds now offer Active Noise Cancellation on both models while keeping the familiar open-ear design.
AirPods 5 also bring improved Adaptive EQ, Live Translation and hands-free access to Siri AI. Apple has launched two versions in India, with prices starting at ₹14,900.
AirPods 5 Price in India
Apple has priced the standard AirPods 5 at ₹14,900 in India. The AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case cost ₹17,900 and add a few extra features, including longer battery life and volume controls on the stem.
Pre-orders for both models have already started. Apple will make the new AirPods available in stores from September 18.
| Model | Price in India |
|---|---|
| AirPods 5 | ₹14,900 |
| AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case | ₹17,900 |
Active Noise Cancellation Comes to Both Models
Active Noise Cancellation is one of the biggest highlights of the AirPods 5. Unlike the previous generation, Apple now includes ANC on both versions of its standard open-ear AirPods.
Apple says the new earbuds can remove up to 50 percent more external noise than the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation. The company has also improved Transparency mode so users can hear people and surrounding sounds more naturally.
Adaptive Audio can automatically balance ANC and Transparency depending on the environment. Conversation Awareness can also lower the media volume when the user starts talking to someone.

Apple Improves Sound Quality
AirPods 5 use a new multiport acoustic design along with next-generation Adaptive EQ. Apple says these changes help produce richer and more detailed sound across different ear shapes.
The earbuds also support Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking. This can create a more immersive listening experience while watching supported movies, shows and other content.
Apple continues to use its H2 headphone chip inside the AirPods 5. The earbuds also support Voice Isolation, which can help make the user’s voice clearer during calls.
Siri AI and Live Translation
Apple has added deeper Siri AI support to AirPods 5. When paired with a supported iPhone, users can ask Siri questions and perform different tasks without taking the phone out of their pocket.
Siri Interactions also allow users to respond to certain notifications by moving their head. For example, users can nod to accept an action or shake their head to reject it.
AirPods 5 also support Live Translation with compatible iPhones and supported languages. Users can hear translated conversations through their AirPods, making the feature useful while travelling or speaking with someone in another language.
Wireless Charging Model Gets Extra Features
The ₹17,900 version comes with a Wireless Charging Case and adds some features that the standard model misses. Apple has introduced volume swipe controls on the stem for this version, allowing users to adjust the volume without using their iPhone.
Its charging case works with USB-C, Qi-certified wireless chargers and Apple Watch chargers. Apple has also added a speaker to the case for Find My.
The regular AirPods 5 use a USB-C charging case and keep the standard force sensor for playback and call controls.
AirPods 5 Battery Life
The standard AirPods 5 can provide up to four hours of listening time with ANC enabled. With the charging case, users can get up to 20 hours of total listening time with noise cancellation turned on.
The Wireless Charging Case model increases this to five hours on a single charge with ANC and up to 22 hours with the case.
Both versions support quick charging. Apple says five minutes inside the case can provide around one hour of listening time.

| With ANC | Up to 4 hours | Up to 5 hours |
| With Case and ANC | Up to 20 hours | Up to 22 hours |

AirPods 5 Bring Useful Upgrades at a Lower Price
AirPods 5 focus on improving the features that users interact with every day. Active Noise Cancellation now comes with both models, while the updated acoustic design and Adaptive EQ aim to improve the listening experience.
Siri AI and Live Translation also make the earbuds more useful beyond music and calls. Buyers who only need the main AirPods experience can choose the ₹14,900 model, while the ₹17,900 version adds wireless charging, volume swipe controls and slightly longer battery life.
With sales starting on September 18, AirPods 5 give iPhone users a new open-ear option with ANC without requiring them to move to the more expensive AirPods Pro lineup.
